The Faculty of Engineering, Srinakharinwirot University, was established in response to the government’s policy during a period of rapid economic and industrial growth in Thailand. This growth led to a shortage of qualified engineers in various fields directly related to production, which forms the foundation of industrial development. Recognizing this necessity, Srinakharinwirot University planned to expand education in science, technology, and engineering to meet the country’s needs, with the aim of producing graduates in fields facing shortages, particularly those urgently required for national development. The Faculty of Engineering was officially founded on December 14, 1992. Three years later, it was relocated to the Ongkharak campus in Nakhon Nayok Province.
